The IEE is working to become a trusted resource for state government leaders. As the members of the Ohio General Assembly debate state policy related to energy, IEE legislative activity includes bringing in experts from OSU to advise and educate policymakers about these important issues.
Energy undoubtedly will continue to be a hot topic in both the Ohio General Assembly and in Congress. Click here to find links to important legislation passed by the Ohio General Assembly and U.S. Congress related to energy and energy--related environmental matters.
One of the IEE's key goals is to be an advocate for the sustainability of OSU's internal operations. Not enough people know the strides OSU has made in this area. For example, few know that the CABS buses run on biodiesel, there are several student organizations dedicated to advancing sustainable practices, and OSU recycled over 72 tons of garbage from the seven 2007 home footballs games? The IEE strives to assist all of the people currently working to advance this important internal value and will work to publicize our collective success with making OSU scarlet, grey and green!
