Government

One of IEE's core values is to be a trusted resource for Ohio's government. As part of OSU's Land Grant mission, we believe it is vitally important to serve the information needs of Ohio's law and policy makers; as well as the many regulatory and administrative departments and agencies that keep Ohio operational.

IEE strives to make OSU and its many talented faculty members available to provide a wealth of knowledge and information to Ohio's public servants searching for sustainable Ohio energy solutions and opportunities.

Many departments and agencies in our state government handle energy and related environmental issues, including, but certainly not limited to:

Ohio Department of Administrative Services
Ohio Consumers Counsel
Ohio Department of Development
Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
Ohio Department of Natural Resources
Ohio Department of Transportation
Public Utilities Commission of Ohio

Governor Ted Strickland has made energy a cornerstone of his Administration. He appointed Dr. Mark Shanahan to serve as his Energy Advisor. The Governor clearly signaled energy as a top priority when he made it the focus of the second executive order he issued upon taking office.
