A principle objective of the IEE is to help strengthen and maintain the internal OSU community of energy and environmental researchers. This will in turn develop and strengthen partnerships beyond OSU to better leverage research expertise and develop sponsored research opportunities.
The IEE is an avenue for awareness of external funding opportunities. The IEE regularly monitors the major potential funding channels as well as seeks out potentially lesser known opportunities. The IEE also provides limited direct funding, through the IEE Enhancement Grants, to assist with the development of larger opportunities.
